Notice on Download Comments

by | 12/7/2006 17:57 PM

Zen has recently released the following information on download comments...

Please make sure your downloads section users know that an upcoming downloads update will affect whether they receive new comments on their files or not. If they wish to receive new comments after the update goes into effect, they should update their forum profiles now to turn download notifications on. To do that, they'll need to go to the "my account" link on the forums, login, then check the "Yes, I wish to receive notifications from the downloads system" option underneath their email address, then save the changes. They do not have to do anything if they do not wish to receive notifications.

Unfortunately, with the gain of one staff member, we lose another. FD2 has stepped down from his wings. Please thank him for all his work and wish him well in his thread.

Forth Eorlingas Announced!

by | 12/2/2006 6:37 AM

The Fourth Age: Total Development Team have announced their latest expansion for the Fourth Age: Corsair Invasion mod for Rome: Total War.

Forth Eorlingas

According to apocalypsis, Forth Eorlingas will include:

  • Two new factions playable in the campaign: The Kingdom of Rohan, and The Chiefdom of Dunland, in addition to The Reunited Kingdom, The Empire of Harad, and The Chiefdom of Rhun.

  • An expanded map from that seen in Corsair Invasion. The map now incorporates roughly half of western Middle-earth, including the regions of Minhiriath, Enedhwaith, Dunland, Druwaith Iaur (Old Pukel-land), Rohan, the Brown Lands, Emyn Muil, Dagorlad, southern Wilderland, and the areas just south of the Sea of Rhun.

  • About 20 completely new units (bringing the total to over 100).

  • Over 100 new ancillaries (for a total of 320), and 75 new traits (175 total). Many tweaks to the triggers and effects of current traits and ancs requested by the community; this includes many new ancillary images.

  • Two new Unique Cities: Helm's Deep and Edoras. New Wonders & Landmarks: The Treegarth of Orthanc, the Argonath, Amon Hen & Lhaw, and Ruined Forts. Also, two new resources: sheep and gemstones.

  • Completely new tech. trees for Rohan and Dunland.

  • All new music for Rohan and Dunland, composed by our very own Jonas 'Cronus' Fancony.

  • New interfaces for Rohan and Dunland/Rhun.

  • A (nasty) surprise.

  • And much, much more...

Discuss it in the thread here.
