So am I the only one who should like MTW2 more for all the obvious improvements in game play etc. but for some reason it leaves me a bit cold compared to the original.

Here are the main reasons why I luv MTW over MTW2

The music is moody, sad and sounds more authentic

The game looks and sounds serious. The indivudual figures running round the board in MTW2 making stupid comments (wheeding diplomats, stretching and yawning soldiers) ....how can I describe it ....it kind of detracts from the serious atmosphere....

It just tips u over the edge in complexity and game length that u lose the enjoyment factor. There are so many characters etc. to keep tabs on that after a while u can't be bothered.

Don't get me wrong I thing the improvements were great - but a big element of style disappeared and thats a big shame...

Funnily enough a lot of people have said that who have played the game. I personally haven't, so I couldn't possibly comment, but pretty much everyone who has played the old two says they're near flawless.

Of course this could be rose-tinted glasses. But still.
