I know you can't take ballistas, onagers etc into towns whern you attack them, but if you are under siege, is there any problem in having onagers inside the town fighting the besiegers? And can you place balistas on walls to fire at beseigeing armies?
1-they cant fire over unless they are in the center, and at that point their accuracy and range are terrible anyway 2-no, that's what towers are for

always get at least 1 onager while defending so you can knock down those seige towers get 4 or 5 if its a wooden wall so you can kil all his onagers and he wont have a way of getting in :P

Actually, i prefer staying with wooden walls and fighting back with Onagers. They can be placed right up against the wall and they out-range ANYTHING they opponents have. Just as well, when your onagers DO accidentally break down your own wall, the enemy NEVER comes in ! at least, not through a hole in the wall I made. Theyre stupid that way
