I usualy have about 8 preatoian cavalry, put them into 1 huge mass. And as soon as they game starts I don't give my enemy time to think, I just march forwards, if he has onagers I march all the way forward, otherwise I march forward till my archers are into range.
Intimidation usualy makes the enemy do stupid things.
What do u guys do ?

As I never play online (believe it or not, I’m still using an analogue modem connection) and are spoiled by AI opposition, I never get the bonus of striking fear into the enemy’s heart.
But: There are two sorts of fear. Do you refer to enemy units routing due to a drop in morale?
Or do you feast on the sort of terror that strikes the enemy general who so far had the feeling that the battle went smugly to his plan, only to find that the trap has closed and certain doom is his fate??
I guess I'd prefer the latter.
P.P.
