Have you ever set someone who was really young as faction heir, then have them take over while their father is still alive and kicking? I kinda wanna try it, but want to get some info first.

It's not possible. The faction leader has to die before the heir takes over.

I thought you can right? Just set the Faction leader Icon to the person you want. Then assign another person faction Heir

No, you can't do it. There's no option to replace your faction leader and you can't drag-and-drop to who you want to become faction leader. You can only change the faction heir

Actually it's doable.

Just set a nephew to be heir. Have the leader killed. Then make the father the heir. Tada.

I mean instataneous, like you choose a new faction leader and boom: they switch. No killing involved, in other words

What do you mean "cheap"?!

On the individual level the response may appear to be a fiction, but fiction in a wider cultural context has a way of appearing to be true.
