Does this exists as in archers hitting your own men in battle?

Yes this exists of archers doing hitting of the men in combat.

On a hillside I had my archers slightly behind and uphill of my histarti. When they opened fire on the enemy who were downhill I couldnt understand why my histarti were taking casualties. It was only when I zoomed right in that I saw my histarti getting fire arrows in the back of their noggins!

Most of my casualties right now are from friendly fire.
Of course most of my armies consist solely of British light chariots so it's bound to happen.
