After some nice experience with barbarian invasion I decided to go back to my roots, the first campaign game I ever started, the jullii, well you guys must understand that I kind of love the senate and try to listen to every word those silly sods say, it started quite normally had to take segesta, and later on salone, altough this is kind of the wrong way to be fighting gauls, I had this before no problem, after that the senate asked me to taker termon (believe its termon, the city on the coast of greece above corinth) and then larissa!
I got pretty confused at this point because I hardly fought any gauls yet and was kind of trespassing in Brutii teritory, after making war with both the greeks and macedonian and sending my biggest armies to greece I got scared, why does the senate want the jullii to attack greece....anyway, I continued to listen to all their demands, including blocking ports such as sparta, and rhodes, I was asked to take cities like byzantium and Pergamum. also they asked me to take thessalonica. so I tought 'ah what the hell, screw the gauls lets conquer greece then' so I send a few more armies to greece, conquering the greeks and macedonians quite fast, only, now the brutii had nowhere to go! they (the bruttii) actually started attack carthage! and captured its surroundings, leaving the scipii with several full stack armies in italy. I conquered the gauls shortly after the greeks. and the people loved me, so I started making war on the senate and scipii and brutii, only to find out that scipii had 8 full stack armies in italy!! (I bribed about half of them)....
Is it normal for the senate to ask the jullii tot attack greece, last time I played with the jullii it was more gaul focused like it should be, I mean its commen knowledge right:

Jullii: Gauls
Brutii: greeks
Scipii: Carthage
Spqr : bunch of cowards
so My question to you lads is:
"Did something like this ever happen to you? or is my game broken??"
