Is this game to easy?
Let me explain.
In myfirst campaign I started off with the Scipii at M/M. I got bored after occupying and controling 20 settlements because it was WAY to easy. So I quit the save and started a new one as the Brutii on H/H. I didn't get halfways in to the game before I felt that this also was to easy, In my mind it becomes way to easy when you've taken about 6-7 settlements. The money starts to come in like water from the sky a rainy day, you can build/recruit whatever you want and just keep on attacking like a maniac. I also quit this save before I took rome, but not on purpose. The game crashed when I was controling 48 or 49 regions and had 6 full stacked armies outside of Rome. However, victory was certain.
Well, I thougt maybe BI was a little harder so I started as the Sassanids on H/H. It was challenging the first 4-8 turns in that way that the ERE kept on attacking (had no problem defending though). After a couple of turns I found myself taking settlement after settlement and because of my boreness (is that a word?) I started to expand northways also. I finally did what was asked from me because I couldn't stand dominating anymore and was victorious with about 380.000 dinarii and 21 regions controled.
So my thought is, what's wrong with the game? Is it supposed to get boring and to easy halfways, or even earlier, in to the game? I can't finish a campaign before I find it WAY to easy.
I bet you the same thing is going to happen on VH/VH.

And also, what's this b*llshit about that the majority of the battles are being fought outside of the settlements?
In the beginning when the enemy attacks? Maybe, but not after 8-10 turns. After that I just find myself taking every settlement nearby my regions fighting off the enemy when they're defending their cities.
