I find I can blow right thrugh Greece and Macedon in about 10 turns. Carthage has elephants with that army in Sicily in the beginning but you can always check Carthaginian power. You'll always know The Julii will take Caralis (I like to race them to it) and once you being Scipii or the PC being Scipii take Sicily, Carthage power is quite reduced. That leaves them with four provinces and the Baleares are easily captured and Spain always fights them and so does Numidia so in my opinion, Carthage is pretty easy to fight with. I think the Julii are pretty fun because they have to fight the barbarian legions and they don't get as much money as quickly the other Romans. And I like the Red color. So, you can be the Scipians and sweep out Carthage but you're really left to fight Numidia or Egypt but also in Spain. I conquered Spain with them once. Brutians easily roll over Greece and Macedon, leaving Dacia/Scythia/Thrace to be fought or you can go fight Pontus and such. No doubt they get the best trade. Julians get to fight Gaul/Germania/Spain/Briton respectively.

They are all piss easy. AS the romans your troops can cnae anything with the tiniest bit of skill from you, and you have a real solid alliance (with trade rights) from the very start.

I agree with the last post... playing those 3 factions is not much of a challange. I find playing SPQR to be much more rewarding. You get no temples and are basically broke from the beginning of the game. If you can turn that around it makes for a good game. Cheers!
