To be frank I am thinking of playing it too.
I this aim to finish as many different campaigns as there are playable nations in RTW:Vanilla and BI before the launch of MTW 2. The campaign itself may not be with a playable nation. For example in BI I have completed all campaigns except those of the Sassanids, Saxons, Allemani, WRE, and Franks. I am in the middle of a Frankish campaign. I don't want to play as the Allemani as I have played with the Celts instead.
In the case of RTW:Vanilla I have finished the following campaigns either with RTW:Vanilla or MM.
1.Carthage.
2.Julii
3.Scipii
4.Seleucids
5.Britons
6.Numidians.
Observe how since I have finished a campaign with the numidians which are not normally playable I will not play with one of the otherwise playing factions that I do not fancy playing much.
The main reason for that is that I have had incomplete campaigns(and by incomplete I mean over 50% completed) with them, so I have had my fill of playing them and thus don't want to play them yet one more time just for the sake of completing the campaign with them.
These are:
The Brutii(3 incomplete campaigns, all 3 times halfway through, all 3 times computer f*cked up the game)
Egypt, I was on 43 provinces and looked to complete the game as I was getting quite bored to be honest, but the computer went on a bribing spree of my provinces and that was it for me, I got pissed and quit.
Germania: I had 45 provinces and was about to win but computer let me down again.
Greece: 2 unfinished campaigns, In the first one I had all of Greece and Italy, again computer let me down.
Seleucids, controlled all of asia minor and the middle east but got bored with RTW in general and didn't return to play for a long while. So another incomplete campaign in a very good position.
Scipii: 2 incomplete campaigns, computer let me down again.
Gauls: I owned all of France, Spain and the British Isles but I was a n00b at the time and couldn't cope with the Germans and Romans and it resulted in a stalemate and I found the going too tough and quit.
So now while I want to have a feeling of completion of the game I don't want to play those campaigns yet another time, so I feel that playing them in RTW I'll get a feeling that I did those campaigns and yet have something different to play.
This is of course, after I finish my BI campaigns.
