Greetings everyone!
Its been ages since I last entered these forums. However, a few days ago I strode in here once more and read a few of Severous' and SubRosa's (absolutly brilliant and incredibly entertaining) AAR's, a bit about modding, strategy, and I finally learnt how to make those last damn factions playable. It's all great!
Anyway, back on topic:
I am in the middle of an SPQR Long campaign, vh/vh. A few turns in I started suspecting that something was wrong... and a few turns later I think I could confirm it. It seems as if none of my cities can riot, no matter how little public order it has. I cranked my taxes up on very high in all settlements, some now down on 0-5%, and still there was no disorder. This makes for a slightly weird campaign, and of course not as challenging as a normal one.
Also I cannot build any temples. Since culture penalty is hardly an issue (see above) its not really a problem, but still.
I guess this only shows that the SPQR really isn't meant for playing. At all.
Perhaps something could be done about it in the data files though? Making temples available shouldn't be too hard... I think - the order-issue is probably trickier.
Once again, great to be around.
You cannot possible enjoy Rome: Total War to its fullest without having read Emperor. Prove me wrong!
