I figured it would be neat to have the gamers add their own suggestions or features they would recommend to the game developers in case a R2:TW was in the works. Obviously, there is no word on the possibility of this game but if that was the case, what features would you like to see? Or perhaps what era should the game cover? Just the Imperial times? Early Republic? Post-Caesar?
As for me:
I'd like the game to be based on Imperial times. Probably around 50 AD.
Add more realism to units, no funny colors to each faction please.
Bigger map. Yes, I would like to march to India if possible. (a M2:TW map isn't too bad)
Bigger map means more cities and regions of course, I don't like one city taking up half of Spain.
Please, oh, please no more twin warriors. Use the M2:TW feature that creates different units. Although it would be even easier because all you would have to do is change their faces. Uniforms after all were pretty standards, at least for Romans.
Fix the diplomacy! 'Nuff said without going into greater detail.
How about a feature of generals being able to "rebel" and take certain armies and regions with them? If they become too popular. If they take Rome or enough territories from you. Game over.
Make naval warfare more engaging, at least give us a chance to get "real" admirals with pictures and real fleets.
Just some I can think of right now, nothing fancy, no new game-breaking features but just something that will make the game more engaging and fun. I know there are some mods out there, and pretty good ones at that, that could deal with some of the ideas I've given but considering what they've done with M2:TW and ETW, and how much the Total War engine has advanced, I'm sure they could do magic with a possible R2:TW. Ideas, thoughts?
