o would say either the greeks or the selucids. the selucids are surrounded by i think about 4 or 5 factions and youll have to fight againt all of them at the same time. the greeks are scattered al over the place so you have to fight around 4 factions at the same time also

Seleucids and Pontus both face decent threats and battles in the early game.

Carthage and Gaul both have plenty of fighting because they are Roman targets. Especially Carthage, you will quickly fight the Scipii, if you beat them you will almost inevitably be on the Italian Peninsula so then you have to take out the Brutii and Senate, by this point you will be large enough to be attacked on all sides.

I do keep them moving Hussarknight, I just can't seem to make them work properly. For my chariot archers it's easy, they're pretty much like horse archers and they kill tons of enemies. However, with the heavy chariots and generals I seem to do nothing but get them killed.
A typical battle starts with chariot archers weakening the enemy line while the heavy chariots take care of opposing cavalry. Once that's done chosen swords war cry and charge. I use my heavy chariots to charge flanks and rear, but still end up losing more than half of them every fight. A lot of times that initial contact kills a bunch of my chariots and sends them routing/amok, or my general dies immediately. I'm near the end of the campaign now and have decided to hire merc cavalry instead of using heavy chariots. At one point my family tree was down to three members, so my generals are now the sit n watch type.
The campaign has been fun, but it has at times been hampered by my inability to get the heavy chariots to perform well.
