What is the preferred strategy against sapping points? I've had a couple of them ruin my game plan in my Egyptian campaign.
Tried showering the wooden framework with flaming arrows but that seemed to have zero effect. Is there ANY way to stop these moles burrowing under my walls??

I dunno but i'd chase em with cavalry or something. What I do though is put a phalangite to bottle neck the hole in the wall and hope for the best.

Like others have said, either send a cavalry unit out to attack the sapping unit, or clear the area they are sapping and when the wall collapses guard the breach with massed infantry.

I was under the impression running Cavalry (at least, it may work with Infantry) over the paths the Sappers are taking will cause mini collapses in the tunnel and the sappers die? I would take this with a pinch of salt as it has been a long time since i used this and i cannot remember the results. I am pretty sure i heard about it on here though so perhaps someone can elaborate?

stone walls are better that wooden walls for a couple of reasons first it is almost impossible to get rams to the gate and if you can defeat the first wave of wall assalters then then they can't get their cav into your city's cause when the tower walls go down then they have all the units assembeld at the top but if you kill them then as soon as soldiers get to the top they run on to the battlements sure the enemy can sap but the ai has never saped against me so I can't say anything to help really
