I've been modding the map lately, as I've just figured out the TiME tool (which is a great resource btw), and I've added more than 20 settlements so far. But lately my knowledge has been lacking.
So here's how you can help. Tell me the settlement name, a name for the region, and a rough idea of where it was, like this: Hippo Regius, Qadiim, between Carthage and Cirta
regions_map as of Febuary 20th
(And if I you lot help me, I'll give you all the files needed for it once it's done )

March the same distance? As in still one turn from Croton to Tarentum or something?

I think smaller is better - too much space and too many settlements are equally bad, and well-nigh impossible to research for many areas anyway.
Hello again, by the way.
Also, by the way , your sig is wrong. It should read non Solis radios sed Iouis fulmina mitto, and it means "I send not the Sun's rays but the thunderbolts of Jove". Thought you should know, it was bothering me even before I left.

Hello again, and I'll keep it the way it is, simply to bug you
And so I have one for RSI map, and one for vanilla. Just so you know, if I use the vanilla map, I will definitely be adding more settlements, on par with the number that are the the OP. If I use RSI, I'll still add more settlements, but I won't add as many.
This is the map_regions for RSI

If you can march the same distance, you can conquer more towns in one turn. That way, it will be easier to make surprise naval attacks as the AI usually ignores these kinds of threats and leaves its towns with no garrison. If, on the other hand, the year was divided into 4 turns instead of 2 and the march distance would be lower, it would be harder to accomplish such conquests. I don't suggest anything. I was just curious. So the answer is yes, I guess.

How can you divide a year into four turns?

I was explaining why I asked my first question. How can you change the march distance? To your question: I don't know. Sorry. This was the last post regarding this. I won't derail this thread any more.

You can make one year (in game) last 4 turns by using a script, to answer that question.
To answer the other question, no, marching distances are longer than they are in vanilla. And using the 4tpy script would be handy. Once I get over the euphoria of ExRm I'll get to work and finally finish this mod I've been blabbing about, as well as finish the article I've started on adding regions and stuff.

Screw what I said before. I'm going to donate what I have to the guy I got the basis for this for (the Roma Surrectum map). I will make a map similar to what I made before, on the vanilla map. That way I can claim it is all my own. I'll probably provide a couple of extra tweaks you lot can choose to add or not. It will simply reduce the Total Siege effect, as well as Riots Every feeling.
I also am learning how to curb the flood of armies that many (if not most) mods end up having. I've personally hated having to fight stack after stack of the same troops just to get somewhere, so I will make changes to reduce the number of armies a faction can sustain. Again though, that will be optional.
