I finished the Julii short campaign once before my original faction leader died. I can't remember how many turns it took though.

I think Gaul would be in the best position for the fastest campaign.

Yh, I did a real fast campaign with the scipii too (260BC)
I once cheated (to see how fun it was) I used the Yubtseb (Or whatever their name is) elephant cheat (oliphaunt) and beat my enemmies (as the greeks) within 9 turns (Medium difficulty)
I never tried it on long but I know it is possible to win the long campaign very quickly with those elephants

ok! i just spent the entire friday and saturday playing as the germania and I took Greece, Spain, Germany, Britain , Italy and France in 256 bc by mostly using four phalanxes (enough to build a ram in one turn) sometimes i had a general and 3 and i basically only attacked towns otherwise i just let armies attack me so 256BC is my PB!!!!!!
