Hello all, I'm Nathan. I've been playing strategy games since I was 10, but I'm a noob to Total War and TBS/RTT hybrids in general.
I'd use screenshots to make describing my problem easier, but for some reason print screen just gets my desktop and not M2TW.
Just tonight I finally got the damned 45 regions and then some as England, and also finally got to the New World. I destroyed Scotland, and Spain. I nearly annihilated Denmark too. I also took over most of Russia, Milan and the HRE. I grabbed a few cities from the Poles, Hungarians, and Sicilians, and also took Nicosia from the Byzantines.
However, where I ran into trouble was the last leg of my conquest: Jerusalem. It took me forever to get there because my focus on land dominance and lack of a strong presence in the Mediterranean caused my fleets carrying crusader armies to get repeatedly slaughtered. Once I did, the Papal States had control of Jerusalem and were fighting the Mongols and Timurids. With seven turns left, I took on all three and got slaughtered and made my troubles in the rest of the world worse, especially Europe.
I finished the game with 47 regions held but still failed to meet my objectives due to Jerusalem being securely in the hands of the Papal States.
Also, to add insult to injury, for once I made it to the new world (thanks to a Spanish port I took) but after initial success conquering Tlaxcala with four family members and a bunch of Txcala and native Mercs I got slaughtered by two huge Aztec armies.
So, any advice on how to avoid these situations?
