Got a screenshot of Kingdoms that you want to show off?
Post it in this thread then.

Race won by blaster fodder.
The game is released today and the first forumer to post a screenshot (self-taken) will have it featured in the news on the front page.

Post it in this thread!

Info on taking screenshots:
1: Press print screen to take screenshots.
2: They will be saved as TGA's at SEGA/Medieval II Total War/tgas
3: Irfanview will open TGAs and you can save them as Jpegs.
Thanks to both Marcus & Santos for providing this info in the thread.

Okay, I cheated. But the rules never said that you had to take the screenshot!

I'll have the game later today, but might not have time to install it due to homework.

lol im jumby

Thank you for pointing out that glitch in the rules which I have now fixed. The link to your own screenshot appears to be broken so your pic wouldn't qualify anyway since we don't have it

This is kind of a bad idea since the game has been out for several days in Europe.

I preordered it from Amazon but it doesn't look like it's going to come in until Sept 7 .

Jumby, where are you? I went to a few places around Seattle and it didn't look like they even had anything in stock. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places...

EDIT: The only place that will have it is GameStop tomorrow. I guess I have to wait until then...

No, I'm not being sarcastic.

I'm in Raleigh. I was in Target, and I saw a tag that said 'Kingdoms' on it near the games section however there was nothing above it
The price was 29.99 USD for anyone wondering.

It's common practice to stock the box on the shelves before a game is released and sometimes the box will have the price tag on it and look like it's for sale when it's only for display. Game store staff can be very lazy that way.

I'm sure there's a few cowboys breaking the release date but some of the boxes being reported might be for display only.

Either way, the "race" still stands. The first in-game (campaign or battle) & self-taken screenshot gets featured in the news. Menu screenies don't count wise guys!

Get to it guys. The game has already been out in the US for one day. You don't want to get beaten to it by me, do you?

I considered taking a pic of the Battle of Otumba (sp?) Historic Battle and trying to pawn it off as a Kingdoms screenshot.

i wrote a short review about kingdoms in "this game rocks" (horrible name i know ) where u can ask questions about the game if u dont want to wait.

Gauis, I can post more Screenshots too if you want.

EDIT: This is a funny one I took.

I used a new type of siege weapon called, Mangonel. Essentialy, it's a sized down Trebuchet but WAY more effective against troops. It fires I guess Oil buckets, and they usually explod mid air, raining fire on the enemy, which usually kills quite a few. But, if your lucky, Like I was in this picture, it doesn't explode, and it's a head on "crash". If I remember correctly, tis blast killed 40 :P.

Thanks. I'll be posting some Teoutonic Pics now. (well, not now, later)

EDIT: Well, their not Teutonics, but I still think this is one of the coolest pictures I've taken (I think so at least). This is a picture from my Norwiegen campaign. My Vikings clashing with Highlanders.
