Well it is quite easy to predict upcoming games before they were even annonced. I predicted Age of Empires 3, i'm sure many of you have. I expected the next Total War to be under the name of Empire, but instead set in the WWI-WWII era- Wrong again!

Exactly. And please, oh great Tomash, please predict the next Total War. While you're at it, how about the next World in Conflict too?

If you must press me, Empire and the recent Medieval 2 remove those possibilities. I think either a chinese/japanese/mongol game, i.e. Creative Assembly's first foray in the Total War franchise, or alternatively, a Rome: Total War which goes earlier into the history.
Ideally though, a mixture between Total war and Empire Earth would be perfection for me, and would be as big an increase as it was from MTW to RTW. A complete world spanning human history where you can set up settlements where you want, draw your own roads, have large central cities and control the smaller villages around the outskirts, a much more indepth diplomacy and trade, as opposed to "ally, enemy" and build trading post to gain x income. But I'm describing my perfect game there.
Oh yeah, the next world in conflict. Parker said something along the lines of "I may be called upon to fight later on" obviously hinting that the next game will be in the future. Much like Command and Conquer, there may be a "tiberium sun" expansion. But I doubt that they will change the game and it'll just be set in modern day when the soviets attack again.

Not having an accurate idea of when ETW ends, how about Victoria: Total War covering the very beginning of mechanised warfare. Zeppelins, Rolls Royce Armoured Cars, Machine Guns, Rail roads, steam engines, etc.
Even though technology was appearing rapidly, the battles were still rather napoleonic in style eg Gordon at Khartoum - gunboats, trains, machineguns versus 1000s of arabic troops that would fit in perfectly in MTW2.
A classic siege.
The battles still fitted on a standard MTW2 battlefield.

I think a mix of period-suitable WiC (without so much resupply), CoH (but with only very minimal defenses), patrician/Port Royale-style naval combat, and M2 would be good.
