That's right, a new faction feature has been published on the official Empire: Total War site. It gives us some more information on Great Britain. It's strength lies at sea, not only in naval power but also in trade and colonies.

Read the full feature here on the official ETW site.

Your are not the only one indeed, for I have mine set there as well (lol). But when your killing Krauts in rememberence of Foamy you don't browse the web much.

Still great to see one of the factions I really want to play as finally previewed. Time to bring justice to the American Colonies, I have my ways of keeping everyone else off my back so I can defeat you outright bwhahahahahaha.

About bloody time

I'm still hinging on not ever playing this game. I think I'll wait a while after it comes out, and see if people pick up too many historical inaccuracies. I know what I'm looking for. And I'm guessing, seeing this, that I'll find it...

The Flag for France isn't actually all that strange. That was the flag of France for most of the period of this game. The familiar Tricolore only became the flag of Frnace after the 1793 revolution.

Also Jomas you may have noticed that the flag is missing the irish red cross which was added around the napolionic era.

P.s. Techinaly it should be called the union flag as its not being flown off a ship in the picture.

Don't worry, Ventory, Russia won't be last - the Native Americans will probably be last

The intro of Russia should be--Drunk Tsars, unruly Cossacks, and wannabe Black Sea Fleet. Come one, come all!

They should introduce Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth next since many people are unfamiliar with them.

Prussia will be sweet too.

Yeah El Bandito! Hive fives for the Russians!

Cossacks riding down fleeing Prussians or French screaming for mercy and Tsars who have more mistresses than forummers on this site.

How I love Russia.

General Rawlinson- This is most unsatisfactory. Where are the Sherwood Foresters? Where are the East Lancashires on the right?

Brigadier-General Oxley- They are lying out in No Man's Land, sir. And most of them will never stand again.

I might play Russia just so I can defend in the east and do nothing for an entire campaign.

But we're not discussing Russia here, we're discussing arseholes the Kingdom of Great Britain

i agree with ventory
russia, although had unruly cossacks and had a backwards army(at first)
but in the 18th century there was a HUGE change for russia
peter the great, in one day turned a country that was considered "backwards" into a military superpower(beating sweden in the battle of poltva, then beating them overall in the great northern war"
after peter the great
eventually russia had a chance to conquer prussia, but the tsar who wanted this died before he could finish them, and a prussian tsar came in, saving prussia.
eventually catherine 2(also considered "the great") came in, and continued the russian powerhouse, beating the ottamans.
during cathrerines time, a general named alexander suvorov arrived, and NEVER lost a battle, he came close, but made a escape across the alps similar to hannibals.

so in the 18th century, although russia was odd, it was very powerfull.

and to stay on topic,
how much land do you think britain will start off with? will ireland be considered brit territory? and will all other lands that were controlled by brits, brit territory in game

And AFTER ALL OF THAT Nicholas mantaines status quo and after his death Stalin, utterly destroyed blitzkrieg after blitzkrieg, and even today, with oil prices dropping somehow Russia and Ukraine swim in cash

But Back to the 18th Century not the 21st

AS for Great Britain they will indeed be a challenge, for Russia that is, I hope for a Western Eastern Clash, all of Western EUrope British and all of Eastern Europe Russian, and insue intoa massive war, which of coruse Russia wll win

One thing for certain when I play as Russia the following will occur
1.Have Tsardom forever, making sure each Tsar is very powerful, and I don't even hope for talent but for pure Education and experience, but maybe I might have a Parliament if I see it fit.
2.Cossacks Forever. Basically I will use flanking to my advantage.
3.Tsardom... Ok I might rethink that, mabye many minds can develop into a general point of view fit for all.
4.Crush Prussia, Sweden, Finland, Poland-Lithuania, Ottomans, and the sorry excuse of Great Britain.

Actually, the Tsar that wanted to destroy Prussia was really a Tsarina, and Russia only had a chance to defeat Prussia while it was also fighting Sweden, Austria, and France. Hate to break it to you, but the Russian bear is far from invincible.
