Now that we have so,e good screens showing the minimap pretty clearly, we can put together a list of all the factions that will be present on the European section of the campaign map. Here's what I was able to put together. Go ahead and make any corrections or suggestions you have (there are a few I'm not sure about) and maybe even speculate on who will be playable and who won't be.
Great Britain France Spain (Looks like it includes Hapsburg possessions of Spanish Netherlands, Milan, Sardinia, and Kingdom of Sicily) Portugal United Provinces (Netherlands) Denmark Sweden Brandenburg-Prussia Hanover Saxony Bavaria Holy Roman Empire (I'm guessing this is what the western German state is) Another German state (Württemberg maybe?) Switzerland Savoy Venice The Papal States Austria Poland-Lithuania Russia Ottoman Empire Ukraine/Crimean Khanate Georgia Persia Barbary States Morocco

Yes I think it would be fair to say that those factions listed would be in gameplay. As Sega said there are 50+ factions in ETW. I hope they just keep the rest of the factions under wrap, so its quite the surprise on launch.

I also saw the West Indies.....or was it Cuba?
Well one of the two so it looks like British and French ships will be fighting each other there.
General Rawlinson- This is most unsatisfactory. Where are the Sherwood Foresters? Where are the East Lancashires on the right?
Brigadier-General Oxley- They are lying out in No Man's Land, sir. And most of them will never stand again.

This time around, Spartan, this time around
I'll find a way to make Persia playable instantly, now I know they're in it.
