I was hoping someone maybe able to help me. I am playing a campaign with the germans, on medium, with normal unit size (believe its around 40 or so). Anyway have 2 big towns and I think they may be at full size as the thing that says town grows at 6,000 seems to has gone, and there is nothing left to build, yet cannot recruit bezerkers.
Is this a problem or am I just not being pacient?

IIRC you need a special temple.

You need a Sacred Circle of Donar to recruit Berserkers.
Be warned though, that leaving a family member in a town with any shrine dedicated to Donar will give them traits like anger, saunginary and lively. Basically they get management and can construct buildings cheaper, but lose influence and they get a morale penalty as well, so they are much less usefull in battle.
The troops you train there will get an experience bonus, which aside from attack and defence skill proboably improves morale as well (keyword is proboably - not 100% sure), so that helps, but if you use mercenaries or bring unexperienced troops from elswhere you may notice they'll rout much faster.
I supose that's the tradeoff for all the brute strength of the Germans.

thats brilliant thank you very much.
the one thing is, is the sacred thing one of the last building s the germans have as i am a fair way in and some of my cities have nothing left to build and i am not sure if they are able to get any bigger.
