Nor I. I think they're referancing lyrics or something.

"All your base are belong to us" is a quote from an old japanese arcade game called zero wing which was so poorly translated that it was fun

Try doing a wiki search, im sure it will coem up

There are many other game, film and cultural references buried in Rome: Total War and Barbarian Invasion. One remains undiscovered by anyone outside the design department to this day! Heehee!

Personally the reference to the moon people in a insane general's speach is one, but I'm not sure where.

Can you clarify that it is a "signs" spoof? I am suspecting it but i am not sure (he mentions hats as protection).

Well, the Seleucids have a moon on their flag... I think. Which would make them moon people.

I've also seen a number of funny quotes coming from diplomats that parody movie lines. I'll post them if I remember them or encounter them again.

Any hints as to this one, or is it more of a hidden uber-prize that you guys guard like a holy grail?

It must be a pretty rare event, like Britannia taking Egypt as a Protectorate or something.

Personally, I like the Frankie Howerd reference in the Comedian description.

If we told you where to look it would take away the challenge.
It's a cultural reference not an easter egg.
You will see it just by playing a particular faction

So it's a cultural reference that hasn't been discovered, and not just 'not recognised'? Yet anyone could spot it "just by playing a particular faction"? Strange...

How do you know nobody's spotted it yet?

Is it Britannia saying "we rule the waves" after winning a naval battle, cos I spotted that yonks ago but didn't tell anyone...

Egyptians were very advanced! They built pyramids and had some machines where you could get holy water for a coin in their temples.Who knows if they had arcade games too,you can never know

If the particular cultural reference I meant *had* been spotted before now the groans would have been long and loud. So, no one has worked it out...

So- I guess it's a playable faction that it's in.
It's most probebly on the campain map, although there is a chance it may be in the unit card's sayings.
It's unlikely to be in the music, unless the 'victoia' song translates into somthing odd.
It may be in the diplomicy screen.
It must be hard to get.

GAME ON!
