Lucky hit with an onager. I only had 2 and their crew. Shortly after lining up, they fired once to get their range, and the second shot killed the enemy general. Sweet!

I hope you had flaming ammunition so that the death animation would have been extra crispy.

Pretty sweet when that happens isn't it? I had one recently as Macedon against possibly Germans or Dacians. Anyway it was a big settlement with a pile of barbarians inside, and before the infantry assault began I softened everything up with onagers targeting their general and archers putting flaming arrows on anything in range. Just like Gladiator! The very first shot their general died. A great cheer went up from my men (well, inside my head).

It happened with me with the last Julii campaign that I played. A Briton general was approaching Iuvavum from the north just as I was bringing an onager along with my general and a few archers, velites and hastati. From the hilltop beyond the line of trees separating the armies, I set my onagers to auto-fire with flaming ammo and let 'em rip. After crisping some of the barbarian slingers and swordsmen who were in the Briton army, a shot landed on the enemy general's chariot and burned three of 'em up. It was a matter of mopping up with the rest of my units after that.
If you really want to see something, though, I suggest getting Carthaginian elephant cavalry to run amok. Any unit that gets in their path gets trampled. In the case of my taking Carthage in my current Scipii campaign, it was the general governing the city. What was so funny about it was that it seemed like he was just trotting up to the elephants as if to sing a lullaby or something. We're talking about a three-ton freaking pachyderm going postal in your city square, dude, keep out of his way and get someone to shoot him!
