I was just moving the unlockable factions to playable to play the germans but then when i played them i couldn't change fire at will, skirmish mode, loose/tight formations. And i also can't see if a unit is fresh, warmed up etc. I thought this is because germania was a barbarion faction but when i tried one of the roman factions it doesn't work anymore too... i re-instaled RTW and i tried looking in options but i didn't find anything. Is this because i changed descr_strat.txt? Or is this a bug? Please help me thanks.

First of all, try to start a custom battle and see if you have the same problem there. If you don't, then it might indeed be the descr_strat file that is causing trouble since it is only used during campaigns, but I find that unlikely since it's not supposed to effect battles in campaign either. Are you sure you didn't touch any other files/do anything else that could have anything to do with the game between the last time that it worked properly and the first time you noticed this bug?
Yes that was pretty strange in custom battle everything worked Also another thing is i can't deploy my units before battle starts so i have to organize my units while the enemy is advancing (i'm playing on easy so that isn't a big problem)
Well i also changed the subtitels from false to true in preferences.txt Before i did the changes everything worked fine but after these changes i had that problems
Thanks for reacting so quickly P.S. Sorry i posted in the wrong forum. If you can, move it

Well, that would indicate that there's something strange with descr_strat anyway, so try to download a backup and use that. You can get it here if you have 1.2 or here if you have 1.5.

Should be no problem there

No problem, and I can't, although one of our mods might see it and move it, but it doesn't matter much anyway, that comment was mostly so that you would know where to put it if you ever had any more trouble in the future.

You know, this is happening to me right now, and it's because I am doing "Arcade battle" instead of normal, which takes away unit stamina, fire at will, it doesn't allow you to place your units before a battle, ect. Is it possible that you have it on arcade as well?

That is indeed a very likely cause for it. Load your campaign and go to game options and make sure that the arcade style battles check box is not ticked off.
Yes i think that's it... i thought arcade style was just that the units react different but i'm wrong... thank you very much problem solved
