What if there was an option to receive those notices?
Profile option:
Check or uncheck box "receive thread response notifications"
Then, in each thread, have the option to "unsubscribe" from a thread when you don't want to be notified anymore (this option will only be available if you check the box for "receiving thread response notifications"
They can be annoying, but these options will alleviate those problems.
Have any of the mods taken notice?

Site suggestions:
- Personal message facility
- Support on the main page for forum events like the recent RTW MP tournament and current RTW multi swap campaign
- more visible link from forum page back to main page
- no more 'you are already logged on' messages. If you log on a second time just proceed.
- Dont ask for confirmation of log off
Cheers

Not just new members. Took me months before I found it by mistake. It was one of the things I also suggestted but did not get any feedback on.

...Confirmation of log off
Why is 'confirm log off' better? Ive not seen it on any other forum. A consequence of having to do it here is accidentally remaining logged on. Many a time Ive come back on site to find I am logged on. I dont know about forum security but being logged on and absent doesnt sound good.
...Personal messages
Thanks for the response advising these are on the way.
Time
Many forums have preference settings to display times in your local time. Having a clear forum time has its advantages for events and deadlines. But its a Royal pain when looking at posts and knowing if its a few minutes old or hours.
