Hi,
below is the EDU code for a cavalry version I made of the Germanic Night Raiders in BI. I called them Ūzluogi, which is an approximation of 'Outlaws' in Old High German. They're a kind of light melee cavalry that throws precursory axes and frighten other mounted units with their ferocity.

The problem is: I've added projectiles to melee units before, and the problem always is that they seem to be throwing nothing, or just their melee weapons (secondary). So I've stopped doing it. But then I had the idea that I could add projectiles to units that already carry the weapons they'd throw, but as melee weapons. So I gave these Mounted Night Raiders some francisca throwing axes. And now their secondary weapon has disappeared, so unless they're throwing axes, they just ride around without a weapon. And in melee it's the same problem.
Any advice?

Here you are saying the primary weapon is a francisca and its values

Here you are supposed to be saying the secondary weapon, but I see none after the first two numbers.

Maybe that has something to do with it?

No, the Francisca is the projectile, and that's only supposed to be there when you're describing a missile.
I was hoping that the mounted night raiders would look like regular night raiders with an axe (but on a horse, of course) and that their original axe would turn into a francisca when they threw it.
But what happened is that they have nothing in their hands, and when they're preparing to throw the franciscae, their original axe appears in their hands, which then turns into the francisca in the air.
Ridiculous, really, and there's probably an extremely simple explanation.

EDIT: weird thing is that they have their regular axe in hand during deployment, and when the battle starts they disappear. They appear again right before they throw the axe and again disappear when they're fighting in melee.
I'm thinking I'll probably lose the franciscae and just let them be an anti cav cav.
