Infernalbob I'm trying to see the video but when i press download, i open it, it asks me with what program to open it with and i chose Windows Media Player. Then when it tries to play it it says the file is not supported or something about the format. Plz help me on how to open it.
The_Ferret What you do it unzip the file into you Rome:TW Replay directory (under Data in program files) and play it like any normal Battle replay

damn i only just realised i think i put the video in a zip file THEN i got the gaulish luck out of the zip file when i browsed for it...SIlly me!! but you still managed to get it to work...

It seemed definite that i was going to lose as my general died straight away!

and they outnumbered me
johncgunn Ok could you please post a step-by-step guide about downloading and playing videos. The farthest I got was

Program Files->Activision->Rome Total War->Data

However, I can't find the replay directory.

BTW How do you record the battles in single player mode.

C:Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War/replays

For the saving replays part..at the end of the battle. It gives you the battle surtistics scroll thiers an icon in the corner with a camera in it click it and save your replay.

tim851 Very nice!

It was a splendid idea to hide the cavalry in the woods and when you fell back with your infantry to avoid his onagers you practically begged him to move his weak lines up to the height of your hidden cav.

Did the A.I. play the Egyptians or was it a human player? Because a human player should've expected an ambush like this (i would have) because I would never believe somebody had just a handful of warbands and foresters and no cavalry.

But nonetheless: marvelously done! And luck wasn't involved here.

It was a human player over the internet, and it was half luck and half genius.

that's the best part about being the barbariens, nearly all thier units can hide!

Polo quote"C:Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War/replays"

I got 2 harddrives so i installed my total war game like this: Local Disk F:/ instead of C:/ to save some space just for safety ;)

i created a folder in F:/ named Rome - Total War

then its no replay folder in thier :S
