My second (and infinitly better) historical battle. This is NOT a custom battle, it is a historical battle created with the battle editor.
Defend a Julii supply convoy from Greek attackers.
Italy, 378 BC
The year is 378 BC, and the Romans have yet to
escape the confines of the Italian Peninsula.
Greeks, Samnites, and inevitably Carthaginians
harass the fledgling republic. The trade routes
are not safe, and small armies are required to
get the goods through safely.
As it is, supply convoys are lost. Frequently.
One convoy, under the protection of Junior
Commander Gaius Antonius, has come under attack
by Greek interlopers. They are too far from Rome
to expect reinforcements, and asides from a single
unit of elite Triarii, the count of their troops
Antonius quickly forms a protective "wall" with his
supply carts. There is nothing more to be done.
Will the convoy survive? That, of course, is
up to you.
