Hi, This is my new little mod what does quite a few things.
1.Changes all unit sizes to 240 (makes seige weapons have 6 of the the actuall engine instead of 2, so if you had one unit of onagers. It will have around 100 men using it and 6 actual onagers. It makes it more worth having seige equipment.
2.To balance it out a little, ive made the unit costs and upkeep of all units on the campaign map to zero and thier consruction time to zero to, because it proved very hard to get the population high enough to even create all the men never mind paying for the soilders you make affter, (this really helps the income, so you can have more fun fighting battles.)
3.It adds some of the units What you can't recruit without cheating (yubsteb elephants)
and it makes them mercs in the game.
The AI act VERY diffrently. Like in my game at the moment, in 260 BC i had spain invading Italy (seiging Rome). This newer version of the campaign is quite harder to beat as well, because the enemy armies have many soilders in them. (1-4800)
Installtion
extract the txt file to;
C:Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War/Data
and overwrite the older version of the txt file.

This mod would be cool if I had a two 3.6 ghz processors running it. Its very heavy on the processor. During a battle of 10,000 + men, i suffer a nasty fps drop which is nearly unplayable, but other than that its pretty cool.

Lol i forgot about the specs, but it's only for those who have a good computer.
I have a 1024 MG of Ram
and a 3.2 Ghz process speed
and a great video card
So that's why i made it, so i can have more men :D :D
BTW version 2 is coming, it has upgraded realistic missile attacks AND all city's on the campaighn map will be Huge, this will make all the factions build all of the diffrent kind of men early (instead of waiting for them)
Im trying to balance it out, although it's quite hard. So you can have Choson swordsmen and cataphrats right in the beggining! |

i see, well my specs are somewhat the same except for the mid-range card
1gb ddr2 533 mhz dual channel
3.2 ghz p4
sb audigy 2 plat
6600 gt 128mb
im guessin you have that 6800 or something just as nice, i have this 6600 overclocked to 550/1.6, anyway i really do like the mod, the armies look massive and its much more satisfying than stock version, the thing is, when i have two armies on allied with 3 thousand men and 2 enemies with 4000, kinda kills me pc :p you know what i just thought of, maybe turning "unlimited men on battlefield" could fix that...anyways ill definately check out the new stuff you put out |
