No one had uploaded this from last week, so due to Ueriah's persuasion (I think), I bring this to you.
As I'm sure everyone who was in the game will tell you, it was the most exciting game of the afternoon.
Being outnumbered, scipio and myself were given the luxury of being able to defend and an extra 5,000 denarii. Given the terrain we had a nice deployment location on top of a small rounded hill.
The action begins with Gaul and Britania in a joint rush against my ally, Germania on the other hand was deployed well away from his allies and had a long march ahead of him.
Scipio deploys his cavalry to counter the Gauls and manages to wipe it out, but takes some heavy losses as the heavy chariots roll into his cavalry. Germania is still well away but has pushed its cavalry up to assist the barbaric infantry in assault Scipio. The Roman cohorts have no trouble with the Gauls but call for aid as the Britons roll onto his flank. A few groups of cavalry awkwardly hit the side of a mass of blue infantry, but are unable to cause sizable damage and the druidic chant and sickles prove too strong for them. The Julii leader fights to the death and the remaining Julii soldiers head for the hills as the barbarians prepare to attack the Brutii.
The men begin to grow restless as they wait for the Germans to make the climb and in the meantime the Britons launch vicious chariot attacks into the rear, nearly causing the death of the Brutii captain.
Germania arrives perhaps too late and ignoring the will of its general, charges madly into the Brutii cohorts. After routing and regrouping, they advancing this time in phalanx but the earlier loss of morale hurts them and may ultimately have led to their defeat.
Briton slingers, unable to shake the Brutii with barrage of stones, flee with their Barbarian brethren to attack another day.
Some Points of Interest:
*Early in the battle an errant shot from Scipio's onagers knocks out a large portion of his own cohorts.
*Gaul's general rushes in against the Julii cavalry and is slain. The Gaul's retalliate by claiming the life of the Julii general.
*Britania's chariot general unit gets stuck attempt to pass through a couple groups of onagers and is slain.
*Wardogs randomly pop in and out attacking and routing some units.
*While advancing toward the enemy, Germania's spear warbands choose to charge without orders and the protection of their phalanx.
*The German and Roman generals duel one on one amidst arrows and stones. After hacking it out for a couple minutes, one goes down!

...Are you sure I was in that game? I don't remember it... at all... I'll download it and watch it, maybe that'll refresh my memory.
EDIT: Ah, I remember now. This was last week, I thought you meant this week... Yeah, that was the first time I witnessed a Charge Without Orders. Pathfinding problems really screwed my army over in the end. That was a good game, though.
