An action-filled game with little (truly) boring moments. Generally decent teamwork on both sides, exceptional teamwork on your (Cealin) side.
On each player's performance:
Cealin (S.P.Q.R.) - Impressive teamwork. Most of the time "good teamwork" amounts to merely deploying together and attacking together, but in this case the teamwork began in the army selection, where one player selected onagers and infantry, while the other used cavalry and archers.
No great mistakes made, except perhaps leaving Praetorian cavalry open to onager fire. You did take several big risks, such as charging your cavalry into Sacred Band while the enemy still had Armoured Elephants waiting, but that error did not have an effect on the game.
life (Greek Cities) - Same excellent teamwork shown, but personal performance is not impressive. Losing the onager duel was bad luck, but he moved his Spartans too slowly and let a large number be killed by onagers. Alone he would fare very poorly, but in this case he was supplemented by a good ally. Shows how good teamwork can make up for skill.
Marco_083 (Carthage) - Decent teamwork, but generally shoddy gaming. Had he charged his elephant general in while you flanked his Sacred Band, the game would most certainly have gone to him. In the end, when he charged his elephant general in, it was far too late; the game was over.
Bizzo_89 (The Seleucid Empire) - Again, decent teamwork, but slow and extremely careless. During the mid-stages of the game, he let his Companions chase two Archer Auxillia, even when the Praetorians came to the archers' rescue.
Had he supplemented his ally during the battle, he might have won. No one can blame him for losing after his ally was crushed, but even then, sending a general into the midst of the enemy army is not excusable.
Additional Comments:
Good work! I might be able to beat you 1 on 1, but I would certainly hate to be facing you in a team game.
