Carthages invasion

Author File Description
File Details
Age: BC
Year: 258
it's 258 BC and the Carthaginian empire is on the expanse from it's own territories numida is firmly starting to come under carthage's control. All the soilders of carthage have formed together in the coastal areas of Carthage, 50,000 men have boarded the 1000 boats there, thier mission is to capture the whole of spain and expand out into Gaul and hopefully, to The Romans, can you lead the people of Carthage? or will they die and be dstroyed? Thier fate is in your hands....

Balancing with unit sizes version 3 is required to play this saved game (otherwise it will probably lock up with the high unit sizes and if you do one turn, your treasurey will go down into the - area.

!!!!!WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!
Your mission is to take Spain with all the armies available on the ships, Thier are more men coming from Palma on a few ships. Apart from this GOOD LUCK!!!!

extract the Save file to the saves folder in the Rome Total War directory

!!!!Balancing with unit sizes version 3.!!!!

This is my new little mod what does quite a few things.

1.Changes all unit sizes to 240 (makes seige weapons have 6 of the the actuall engine instead of 2, so if you had one unit of onagers. It will have around 100 men using it and 6 actual onagers. It makes it more worth having seige equipment.

2.To balance it out a little, ive made the unit costs and upkeep of all units on the campaign map to zero and thier consruction time to zero to, because it proved very hard to get the population high enough to even create all the men never mind paying for the soilders you make affter, (this really helps the income, so you can have more fun fighting battles.)

3.It adds some of the units What you can't recruit without cheating (yubsteb elephants)
and it makes them mercs in the game.

4.Buildings take 1 turn to create.

5.To make the game more realistic, all missle troops have +10 attacks because i noticed that peasents were surviving missle attacks (without a shield) which is VERY unlikley.

6. In the event of superior missle troops agaist you. Ive added the "testudo" formation to other infrantry (the testudo formation is not used much anyway).

7. Population growth increased. (To keep up with all the men being made every turn.)

8. I didnt mean to, but ive made all factions playable. (even rebels)

The AI act VERY diffrently. Like in my game at the moment, in 260 BC i had spain invading Italy (seiging Rome). This newer version of the campaign is quite harder to beat as well, because the enemy armies have many soilders in them. (1-4800)

extract the txt files Export_descr_unit and Export_descr_building to;
C:Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War/Data
and overwrite the older version of the txt file.

also extract the Desc_strat txt file to;
Program Files/Activision/Rome - Total War/Data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign

Rookierookie A suggestion - you might want to include Balancing with Unit Sizes 3 in the zip.

The save file should work...i tryed it myself, reinstalled the whole game and did it, it worked. Perhaps you have another mod on your game.

SoulFire1200 I just reinstalled ROME and cleaned out my PC trying to get this to work but still nothing. Any suggestions? I still don't understand what you mean by "!!!!Balancing with unit sizes version 3.!!!!". Maybe that's why it isn't loading. Help is greatly appriciated!

Balancing with unit sizes is a mod, ive already uploaded it to the download section, you will find it in one of the sections, but that is needed to run the save.

SoulFire1200 (Update) Well I finally got the MOD to work and I must say, I really like it. The problem all along was I didn't have the Rome: Total War patch. That fixed it all. Well thanks for your help and thanks very much for the MOD.
