Trajan's column, raised to commemorate his victories in Dacia, still stands in Rome today. Under the rule of this emperor, Dacia was conquered and annexed. When he later captured Ctesiphon, capital of Parthia, and Susa, in 116 AD, the Empire reached its greatest territorial extent...
This is a good, solid map. Honestly, I was quite shocked when I actually pulled it out and won this battle. It's extremely challenging when you have to deal with a charge on three sides almost immediately.
The balance is definitely there; I could easily see both sides winning this battle. You did a good job making sure the Dacians aren't too overpowered and can easily crush the Romans, but you also didn't make it an insta-rout ambush (for the Dacians =| )
It was a little bit shallow on creativity, to be honest, because I felt like it was just a map with some trees in winter to show an ambush somewhere. Perhaps you could have done a little more with the layout and the design to improve the map a little bit more.
Overall, as I said it is a very good map. Where it lacks in design and creativity, it makes up in challenge.
