One of my very first online battles. Since I think that not all of the videos you submit must end in a victory, here's a defeat. In my defense: this was my second day on multiplayer, I was a noob back then :)
Unlike most of my other games at that point, this game started terrific for me.
I destroyed the Macedonian cavalry with my cataphracts and elephants, and then chased down their Cretan archers. Meanwhile, his phalanxes were getting peppered by 4 catapult units. The Macedonian army eventually admitted defeat while most my phalanxes were still alive. Since my ally hadn't got involved in the battle much yet, the odds turned towards us.
But then I discovered it... My ally had ONLY TRIARII and NO URBANS at all! Since he was facing Greek phalanxes, the triarii wouldn't stand a chance. Foolish... But then again, it was a noob-only game. I kinda forgave him.
Back to the battle. The Greek player sent in his Spartan hoplites. Very much like a suicide mission, my ally sent all of his cavalry into the spear points. I rushed my phalanxes in, but the game was already lost. The Spartans had no problem dealing with his triarii, and my army wasn't big enough anymore to change the outcome of the battle. His Spartan hoplites probably received some upgrades, my phalanxes were outclassed pretty easily.
It was fun to play this noob-only game, I hope you have as much fun watching it. Actually, I don't think that Greek player was a beginner.
