* Ave! My fellow players!!! Well now, this is a really nice strategy advice how to destroy stronger and much larger army defending itself. In this battle Romans have stronger and much experienced infantry, while Carthaginian only advantage are numerious cavalry and elephants. It starts with the Numidian, Spanish and Carthaginian cavalry harassing roman flanks and destroying roman Equites. After that carthaginian skirmish line advances which is followed with bloody merciless fight with their roman counterparts. Then starts a real savage fighting of close-combat infantry.A real bloodbath. Which way the batlle goes check out yourself. One thing which is quite humorous in this battle was when Principes butchered Spanish Caetrati on the right Carthaginian wing with only two spanish soldiers remaining, they soon broke and about 70 principes foundthemselves chasing by only two Spaniards. Carthaginian army in this game is true as possible modeled on Hannibal's (name literally meaning: "Mercy of Baal") army in Second Punic War(without Gauls before ariving to Italy).Enjoy!!! You simply must. It's superb batlle. (for batlle to be more realistic as possible I changed for Romans number of Hastati,Principes and Triarii from 80 to 100, and Equites from 54 to 40, and for Carthaginians all infantry types are numbered 80, while all cavalry is 60, light skirmish infantry is 80,same for both sides.Reason I did this is a well known historic fact that Romans in most cases always outnumbered Carthaginians in infantry, and otherway around with cavalry)..I would like to hear some comments if there is any.
