I actually keep track of all of my online battles. This one happens to be my 297th battle online. Ironically enough, my battle is against an opponent named alexander-the-great. It's ironic because I too am a huge fan of Alexander the Great.
Instead of picking Macedon right away, I waited for a minute to let my opponent have first-pick. If alexander-the-great wanted to be Macedon, I'd let him! Instead, he opted for the Greek City-States.
This battle shows the value of cavalry in battle and two other things:
1) artillery isn't a weapon to be feared
2) Spartan spam isn't very effective in 10k denarii battles
