Hello and welcome to my Redistribution mini-mod! Although this is only my first contribution to RTWH Downloads, there are quite a few reasons why you should try it out.
First it not only let's you play as the Roman Senate, but it also reduces the amount of territory you begin with whilst beefing up the surrounding factions via adjustments like increasing their territory count or improving their starting infrastructure. Macedon for example got Epirus as well as getting a majority of its barracks upgraded by a tier.
Second, this mod nerfs factions like Brittania and Egypt who, as we all know, tend to dominate their neighbours and take the fun away for everyone. Not here, though. Now in Res Publica, the Britons go back to Britain, and the Egyptians stick to the Nile. Their campaign behaviors have also been adjusted to make them less likely to spam the hated chariots.
Third, this mod is also a KickAss production, as well as being completely free of charge.

*Known Issues:
Game will crash if you click on the Senate tab or the Senate Offices button.
Rebels and the SPQR start out "Neutral".
Watch out for the Greeks and Gauls because they might try gang-raping you from two directions. (ahem... that sounded naughty) |

Additional Comments:
- I really like the Roman balance in this mod, and the starting distance between the Egyptians and Seleucids.
------
- However, I could wish for a more historical war between for instance Rome and Carthage. This could be done by simply giving Carthage some starting Poeni Infantry/Mercenaries and or Sacred Band Cavalry, improving the garrison at Corduba and giving it stone walls (also by giving Carthage and Thapsus better starting buildings), perhaps improving the number of ships Carthage starts with, etc. I also think that giving Spain back their territory and giving the Celtiberia back to Gaul would help the balance in Spain again, as otherwise the Carthaginians just get mauled, whereas historically they conquered much of Spain.
- Another thing I think could be of is the Seleucids. They ought to start with extra Phalanx Pikemen at their capitol, Antioch, and two groups of War Elephants. Also, all their militia hoplite units should be subsequently replaced with Levy Pikemen, and it would be even better if most of their settlements started with at least militia barracks, etc. Also, Sardis was historically a city with strong defenses, famous for its cavalry and should start as a larger city with a decent garrison. Also, Seleucia should start with stone walls and some other buildings + units. I think a similar thing could be done to Macedon: giving them some starting Phalanx Pikemen.
- Numidia could really benefit from more starting buildings/units, and Gaul could do with more varied military perhaps (some Chosen swordsmen, Noble Cavalry, or some swordsmen? or some ranked up armies?). Perhaps Dacia could also have some starting Noble Cavalry?
Overall a great mod! I really liked the feel of the new campaign map. It takes more time for Rome to subdue territory.
- But there is a bug with the Greek Territory of the city near Byzantium, can't remember its name, but the rebels still have an army that blocks entrance into the city. Its like 165 y somthing x, but I've edited this mod to my own liking in some ways, making it a separate Imperial Campaign from the Original one.
