The Battle of Chaeronea, 86 B.C. King Mithradates IV of Pontus is at war with the Republic of Rome. He intends to stop the Roman advance by eliminating Roman presence in Greece. He has sent his general Archelaos with a large army to defeat the Roman commander, Lucius Sulla. After weeks of blockade in Athens, Sulla moved his army up near Mt. Parnasus, with Archelaos behind him. Due to a lack of supply, he has been forced to the plains of Boateia, where the Pontic Cavalry will be favored. However, Sulla has selected a rocky terrain, which will undoubtedly cause great confusion to the Pontic chariots and cavalry, and has artillery left from the siege of Athens. He has also set up earthworks to protect his troops.
Outnumbering the Roman troops 3 to 1, will the forces of Archelaos defeat Sulla, or will Roman discipline carry the day?

Installation Instructions
Copy and paste the contents of the download folder (BattleofChaeronea and BattleofChaeroneM) into your Rome Total War Directory:
My Computer\Program Files\Activision\Rome Total War\Data\world\maps\battle\custom
This will allow you to play the Historic Battle of Chaeronea, commanding the Roman Armies
of Lucius Cornelius Sulla against the Mithradatic (Pontic) force under Archelaos. I have made it my every endevour to give the same feel of the historical battle that took place
in 86 B.C. between the Roman and Pontic armies, in Boeatia, Greece.
I hope you enjoy it!
Also, if you want the best playability of it, download my 'professional armies' mod, in
which units have more morale, chariots are powerful, Elephants are stronger, and elite units are elite. Useless units like slingers and skirmishers are also addressed in the patch; slingers have much more range and skirmishers can now hide anywhere, plus both unit types have less upkeep. In that same download I have included a more balanced Imperial Campaign. The 'Professional Armies'
mod has its own installation instructions with it.
