I was playing a seige, most of the units were mercs(only 3 legionary Cohorts,1 first legionary and Roman General)Mostly Barbarian Mercenaries and Mercenary Hoplites. I placed the Hoplites in the center and Barbarion Mercenries on the wall along side the Legionaries. The First Legionaries were protecting the gate with 1 regular Cohort in reserve.the two other Cohorts defended the wall. The Hoplites set up a phalanx in the plaza. The Roman General took position behind the First Cohorts. Ok here is the problem,i realy dont know what the hell happened but id made me so mad, anyway, The enemy warriors hit the wall with there Ram and there seige towers.Just as the enemies(Gaul) charged out from there towers the babarion mercs turned from merc green to Gual Green. with one legionary unit on each side it was easy picking for the Barbarians. The Barbarion mercs and Gual chosen swordsman destroyed one legionary unit and severely routed the other. The walls were taken and the gates opend, the ram stopped and in comes the Gual Cavalry(what they actualy had) smashing into the first cohorts. The regular legionaires charged forward to help the first cohorts but it was to late, the first cohorts fought to the death and the regulars broke and ran. So the i had the Roman general retreat to the plaza for a last stand with the Hoplites.Bad Mistake. The Hopkites were Gual Green TOO!!! The Roman General rode straight into the Hoplites and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE ROMAN CAVALRY WERE KILLED! Does anyone know what happend here?was it a bug or was it a real random event in the game?
