I was playing as the Huns last night. I took my horde, sacked the nearby town, and then attack the factions along the Black Sea coast. After sack their settlements, and chasing their hordes across the map, I finally decided the it was time to settle down. I occupied on the coastal settlement, and started to build up my economy. After a few turns, I discovered in my biggest settlement, that I could not build a port. I check the settlement browser to see what I needed to build one, and what I noticed shocked me and destroyed my plans. I had everything I needed to build one, but I discovered that the Huns can't build ports, ever!!!
So now I ask: Which of the barbarian factions that Horde can build ports.
My whole plan was to play a Horde faction and to destroy factions until I got to a coastline near Roman Territory. Then I would settle down, build my economy and navy. Once the navy had been built, then I would abandon all my settlements except one, and turn into a horde again. Then I would put my horde onto the fleets, and head directly for Italy. There I would forge a new empire over Italy, expanding to spain, Britain, North Africa, and then Constantinople
Golden Rules of Compainging:
1. It's the Economy
2. Controlled Expansion
3. Keeping Momentum
