OK guys, newbie here.... I am on my third campaign, playing as the Seleucids. First as Julii to get the feel, second was Egypt and started understanding more about the game. I was using the computer to decide most of my seige battles at first, now starting to get onto the battlefield myself. Remember I am new to this. In this campaign
( Imperator) I am well on my way to the 50 provinces I need. I am managing my towns and cities rather well too. My problem seems to be near Byzantium. I control everything to the East( Nicomedia )all the way down through Egypt, but when I cross the water to Byzantium, the Brutii kick my butt. I usually retreat and lick my wounds. Then I amassed A number of full Armies(10 at least) returned and kept them close together for reinforcments if attacked but still the Brutii outnumbered me. Once I went in with equal men but a message came up that my reinforcments would not be showing up so good luck!

1.Is there a certain strategy I am missing? I used my best generals. I took Byzatium with no problem but the next cities are always surrounded with a garrison of at least 700 Brutii in the city!
2. When I retreat to my territory, how do I replinish the battle weary troops? Do I move them into one of my cities and retrain them? Can you retrain elephant troops also?
Thanks in advance, I love the game and I am blown away by how much you guys know about it!
