I got Rome: Total War yesterday and have been playing it non-stop. In the Imperial Campaign, you can fight Carthage, an African civilization that attacked Rome from over the Alps with Hannibal. Whenever I attack them, it says they got a good 400-450 men waiting for me, but when I show up, there must be around 600-700 men there! With Reinforcements, that makes capturing it rather difficult. (I finally got it after sending 2 armies of 1,200 men each Also, is the "Lay undert Siege" option a bad idea? Because whenever I do that to a town, they ask their buddies to help and next turn there are two armies right on my tail! Siege towers are awesome. If you do place the city "UNDER SIEGE" you can create them, rams, and onagers. onagers and Siege Towers if find are the tanks of these Romans, but rams I find difficult to get them under the gate without casualties. Siege towers are difficult to understand for me, though. Once they park you got to like click it 2 times, and double click on the wall. Yeah...
