while playing a campaign yesterday i was thinking, is it better when facing an enemy that has missile troops while you have none, to split your forces into two?? i usually use germania and was thinking would it be better to split my forces into two equal units that attack each side of my enemy or is it better to stay as one unit to avoid any possible threat of flanking? any thoughts on this?
i have yet to try it because i generally dont like to micro manage during a battle and i assume this would require atleast a little micromanagement.

Another thing worth mentioning is in an archer duel if your out numbered and the enemy has better quality stick your forces in the forest. Your archers wont get pounded so badly
