Hey guys. I am planning to download XGM or XGM-XC for my first time soon. It looks really promising. My question is, does XC just take XGM and update the other factions, or do the Greek factions start at ground zero along with the other factions?

Basically, is XC = XGM+XC, or is it XGM->XC? Thanks for your time (hope you understand).

Extended Cultures (or XGM-XC) is really a different mod based on XGM. While it shares many similarities, there are many differences as well, and more every version. You can run both of them from the same install of RTW as they are both mod-foldered in their own folders.

(For your information, Extended Cultures used to be XGM->XC, but now it is just Extended Cultures.)

Thank you! I like mods that have a more wide ranging focus, so do you think XC is better for me? (BTW: does XC have AoR?) I can't wait .

XC does have AOR, and much more detailed than XGM.

We took the best of XGM and expanded for all cultures plus a lot of unique features.

Perfect. Thanks for your help. Extended Cultures sounds like the right thing for me. (Personally, I think AoR is the best thing since sliced bread) There isn't a gold version by any chance?

Extended Cultures runs on RTW 1.5, BI 1.6 or Alexander.

This is not a question, but could you correct me if I am wrong? I'm also going to install the hotfix thing. If this right, then thanks again for your help.

Yes, install 3.3.3, then the 3.3.3b hotfix.

After downloading and installing the mod, I tried it out. So far, so awesome. This mod is wonderful. I love the roman skins and the overhand hoplite attack, and I spent an hour just messing with custom battles. My favorite map is the Shores of Sicily, because it looks so dark and foreboding, with the volcano in the background. I haven't tried a campaign yet, but I can't wait to try the AoR system. Thanks for making this mod .

Thank you, but don't heap all of the praise on us. There are many contributors to this mod. You can find a (nearly) complete list on the readme page.

Yes, thanks everyone. This is my first mod for any game ever, and it's really cool.
