I was going to wait for bstoned to answer, but I think I'll go ahead anyway and tell you what I've found.
First, I want it to be understood that I don't mean to come off calling you as a liar. However, during 1311, Bavaria was ruled by the Wittelsbach Dynasty. After Duke Otto II of Bavaria died in 1253, Bavaria was split between his two sons: Henry XIII, who ruled lower Bavaria, and Louis II, who ruled upper Bavaria. Now, during 1311, two Dukes ruled over lower Bavaria, Otto IV (ruled 1309 - 1334) and Henry XIV the Elder (ruled 1309 - 1339), niether of which is, obviously, a Maximillion Steiner. But what about upper Bavaria? As with lower Bavaria, two men ruled from the Bavarian throne during the time you speak of: Rudolf I (ruled 1294–1317) and Louis IV (ruled 1294-1347). In fact, there is never a Duke of Bavaria under the name Maximillion. There is, however, a Duke of Bavaria by the name of Maximilian, however he ruled from 1597-1623. That is the first Maximilian to rule as Duke of Bavaria, although more Maximilians do rule later in history.Don't believe me? Consult Wikipedia.
