I've been on the internet seas conducting information piracy and came across this gem; added some comments below the facts taken from the article. The strat map was shown in one of the Carthage videos, it was stated it was more for overview purposes, but has apparently been changed to allow us to dish out orders.Another good idea, lets us take in the situation as we can see the whole picture of how the battle is progressingWhen is E3? June?Interesting. Will make them harder to defend though, but if the cities are going to be bigger the decision makes sense. What of small barbarian villages though? Do they need three? Do you need all three to win or just 2/3?Saves me carting it all over the battlefield and slowing my armies down. I wonder what types of ambush equipment there will be, makes perfect sense if - as already stated in PC Gamer - we are able to set the status of an army to 'Ambush'.

the strategic map will allow to give orders to troops.
when you switch on the strategic map, the time slows down.
the press should be able to test a live version of the game at the E3 2013.
there will be at least 3 capture points in the cities.
siege and ambush machines will have to be construct on the campaign map before battle (like battering rams in RTW) and there will be more variety than before.
Cities will not be at 1:1 scale but they will be huge. Lutetia and Lugdunum could be modelized.
FYI Min requirements for Shogun 2:Minimal requirements will be the same as Shogun 2 but high requirements will be higher.

The number of developer on the AI part has been increased.
It seems that we will be able to delegate some command to an AI general on the field and give him order like "hold this area".
