Hi everyone,
I have been enthusiastically modding RTW and BI for a couple of days, and suddenly realized that what I like most in battles is moody, stormy, foggy weather. I love a bit of atmosphere, and since the game is so sunny, orderly and surveyable, I'd love to increase the likelihood of fog and rain on the battle map during campaigns. It's usually just sunny and dry, and I want to change this.
Does anyone know where and how to do this?
My unending gratitude for any help on this!

Haha, thanks.
Yeah, I want to add bad (but in my eyes simply more beautiful) weather to battles on the campaign map. That would mean having more sandstorms in desert regions, and more fog and rain in any temperate place, really. It's just a nice replacement of the later TW games' 'depth of field' feature which is really beautiful, I think. Gives battles a more atmospheric look. In custom battles I usually choose to do battle in the evening and with heavy rain, for minimum battlefield visibility.
So I want to find a file that decides what the odds are for battles to happen in mist/rain/a sandstorm/snow, and also at what time of day. There's bound to be odds deciding that, as my battles usually happen at midday with no rain or fog.

I actually found the relevant file: descr_daytypes.txt
You can edit everything, from the transparency of the haze & fog to the probability of a certain weather event in a certain region. It's great!
