Whenever I place rebel armies on the map with descr_strat, they always belong to the rebel faction of the provincial town (like 'Nabataeans' or 'Juthungi' or whatever). In one specific case I'd actually like them to be 'Brigands'. Who can tell me how to do this?

I think rebels are hardcoded to be called after the province in which they spawn. Well, maybe not hardcoded, but there is certainly some connection with the province and the rebels/slaves it spawns, and the system is hardcoded to dig up that name. Maybe in one of the text files. Find that and edit it, and your brigands get that name.
