After 400+ hours of playing, and tweeking I have my version Of RTW which plays as I think it should, and I have so far taken 9 regions.

I cant get a version of RTW realism which works on my 1.51 version from steam.

Despite the tutorials I cant make factions. please someone make me a mod to make Sparta a faction on its own

There appear to be several mods in the Downloads section of our site which do this, notably this one:

There might be a problem with compatiblity though- Steam runs a different version that the 1,5 which is standard for the mods.

You might be able to peek in the files to see what the author of the mod did, then try to replicate it in your files.

Thanks for your reply. could not get *.sav files to play however I searched through the mods and empires and traders on page three works. It is exactly what I wanted. I gave myself equites as cavalry Rhodian slingers and limit real Spartans to about 1 in 5. I think the Spartans in this version are by far the best. I really like the Kopis they are armed with, thanks again.

I think the saves only work on version 1,5 (Standard before Steam). Nice to have confirmation on that. Thanks.
